Use the chatlogr R library to extract data from your data file.

Conversations are saved to the database only when you set the ResponseID option in the study object. Saved conversations are deleted 180 days after they are saved.

Saving to the database also protects you against dropouts. Qualtrics only receives the conversation when the participant submits the page, so a participant who closes the browser mid-conversation leaves you with nothing. The database stores each conversation as it happens, including partial and incomplete ones.

Before you save conversations to our database, make sure your Institutional Review Board (or equivalent ethics board) protocol and consent form cover collecting and storing them.
